  Prances Campsite

Prances is owned by East Essex District Scout Council, and is named after the lady that donated the land to the district. Based in the heart of Wickham Bishops, it is a small but friendly site. There is plenty of room for campers and an excellent backwoods area for those that fancy sleeping under the stars.  The site is suitable for Patrol Camps and the surrounding area is ideal for hiking

The campsite shop is well stocked with uniforms, accessories and souvenirs. There is an open air chapel and a campfire circle available for use by all. Peter Church Lodge is a large modern building, which is also available for use. This comprises of a large hall (approx 9m x 12m), kitchen with serving hatch, lobby area, store room, toilet facilities with hot showers, and the loft. The Bill Meeham loft, and the toilet facilities are also available for hire separately from the main building.

Also available for hire, are camp beds for indoor use, and chairs, tables and forms for outdoor use.
