| Saffron Walden District is situated in the north west corner of the county. There are 6 groups in the district 2 of which are currently cub packs only. The Explorer section is very strong in the area taking young people from far and wide. The district has a couple of established events which we invite other districts to take part in as invitational teams, Spring Challenge a 25 mile in 12 hour challenge and Jailbreak an over night escape and evade event. A Scout Active Support structure is in place ready for any adults wishing to help out on a less frequent basis. |

Four months left of The Essex Challenge - have you registered yet?
The Essex Challenge has been providing inspiration for activities to Scouts across Essex since September 2011 - this special programme will finish in August this year. Many of you will be completing August's activities by attending the Essex International Jamboree, making new international Scouting friends or learning about air travel. Make sure you have registered your participation at essexscouts.org.uk/challenge so we can tell you when the special badges are ready to order for your Scouts.
