Essex Weekend Fri 7th to Sun 9th May 2010
What is the Essex Weekend?
The Essex Weekend is a time for adults involved in Scouting to get together with their peers and families to spend time together away from the pressures of looking after our members and to build friendships and have fun together beyond a mutual hobby of developing young people.
Costs & Registration
The event is open to Essex adult volunteers and costs £10 per person. You can camp as a group or as a family although participants under 18 will need to be supervised by an adult during the event. If you want to bring the family, the cost is also £10 per person. Registration is via an online booking system available from the menu on this website.

Arriving on Friday night, you’ll have time to settle into your camping area and to relax at the event bar and café, giving you plenty of opportunity to relax and meet with others.

During the Saturday you can visit the activities area, where the sections from each of the Districts will provide activities to inspire programme ideas. The event also gives you the opportunity to try any of the main activities on site including canoeing, climbing, archery and rifles. The county activity teams will be on hand during the weekend to provide you with specialist advice and support in providing niche activities into your local scout programme.
