Hi all,
This message is for all the girls in the colchester district that want to take part in the tesco race for life to raise money for cancer resarch uk allthough currently this is only open to colchester district i may be opening it to Essex network depending on how much feed back i get and how early it is so basicly this is an invitation and if you think you may be interested please reply to this post
you do not have to run the race (you can walk it!) but the main goal is to raise as much money and put scouting back on the map for helping the community and raising money for charities!

I walked it this year, in just over 1 hour (by about a minute - would have been a lot quicker if we hadn't stopped to chat along the way!)
We got loads of little goodies, a really nice deodorant, about 4 yogurts, a sweet back pack, some Nivea skin care stuff, as well as a book full of discounts for various places.
We did ours at Gloucster PArk in Basildon, we got there and there were laods of women already there, as well as a massive Essex FM radio truck, when they thought the majority of people were there we did a warm up, which was some basic aerobics, very surreal. Then we had to split into runners and walkers, the runners went off first then we went off.

Hey Charly
The Race for life sounds great. Count me In. I can't think of a better way of promoting Scouting and raise money for cancer research as well.
I Know there are a lot of Female Scouts in the Colchester Area so sign up and join in and lets show them what female Scouts are made Of.
Male Scouts can do your bite by sponsoring us and coming down on the day and supporting us from the side lines.

I know some of the girlies would like to get the uniform bits, but we can't do the run as we're not from Colchester...
... Maybe you could sell the uniform and bits and we could make a donation to the Cancer Research, that should help bring the cost of the uniform down in price too as you'll be ordering more...
Just and idea?
