I've just found out the news that I've been offered a charity place for the London Marathon. It was a spur of the moment idea to email the charity during summer to see if they had spaces going, and now they've got back to me saying some of their runners have dropped out so they had spaces to offer!

So I'm doing it...... on stilts!!!

I'm running for Reach, a charity that looks after children born with upper limb deficiencies and I need to raise a minimum of £750 for april...... WILL YOU HELP ME!!!!

The plan is to do the marathon on my 4ft poles, I will also be wearing a pair of bright trousers on which will be the names of everyone who has donated towards this! Also due to it being the first time anyone has considered doing something so crazy they have been in touch with Guinness world records and I should be gaining a new record for the 'fastest marathon on stilts'

The easiest way to donate online using my site

If not feel free to contact me on here or pm me for my email!

I learnt to stiltwalk through the Stiff and Stilted team that teach at Scout Jamborees (they're very noticeable, the guys dressed all in florescent orange and yellow), so its great to use a skill learnt through a charity organisation to help another charity!!! I've been stilting for several years, though never to this extent, but have done many various events and make all my own costumes!

Stiff and stilted will be at Essexjam! And so will I!!! So if you do help out if would be great to meet you too!!

Well I'm off to London this morning, look out for me on TV.

I should be on BBC Breakfast on a small feature with Mike Bushell on Saturday morning, We filmed it last monday.

Then on the marathon day I've been asked to be interviewed live at 9.20 possibly by jonathon Edwards over by the starting line! And then you'll possibly see me throughout the day.

And then on Monday I will be appearing on This Morning!!!

Wish me luck, I'm off to do a press conference now!

I'd also like to announce that my total money raised for Reach has rocketed up to £6900. This is due to a donation I kept quiet. On Feb 21st I was invited to attend an event at the BT Post Tower in London where I recieved a cheque for my charity of £5000!!! It was through a scheme where employees nominate charities, and my Dads efforts advertising me worked. So big thankyou for that.

Thats all for now, I'll be back to say how it all went after the weekend!!!

Thankyou for all your cheers and support!
It was an amazing day, the crowd totally carries you along

I got my official certificate from Guiness presented on This Morning on Monday. My official time is 8 hours 25 mins!
It was long & hard but totally worth it, the cheers from the crowds & all the runners carried me through, even when I finished there were still loads of people around to cheer me through the finish line!

I was supported throughout the day by my parents John & Jackie, my sister Samantha and her friend Cassie & 4 of my friends who were my 'support team' and cheering squad Nicola, Sarah, Rick & steven as well as Sam & Andy. They were amazing support and are suffering too as they walked at least 14 miles of the course if not more with me.

As well as catching me & picking me up when I fell over at 22 miles!

But it was all good, would've liked better weather! Got soaked & frozen in the rain & hail, and am now suffering from a stiff hip and a blister that covers the complete back of my heel!

But definitly loved the experience and am up for doign it again!

My current total raised is £7200 and rising! So please feel free to donate still!
£5000 of which was donated by BT.
