Teams of volunteers from Scouting in Essex are setting up camp at the Norfolk Showground for NORJAM 2010, at Harewood House for Guidings centenary Camp and day event Fusion next Wednesday as well as people heading to Great Tower for Red Rose 2010. Are you joining them or going to any other events?

Peak Assault is Hertfordshire Scouts' most challenging competition organised for members of the Scout Association aged 14 and over and is now in its 43rd year. The competitors must use their orienteering skills, physical ability and mental strength to navigate their way across unforgiving terrain 'clipping' as many checkpoints as they can within the allotted time.

Do you have a sense of humor, have good interpersonal skills, can juggle evening and weekend meetings, have the ability to use electronic communication and have the ability to manage others?   Planning for the next Essex International Jamboree in 2012 is under way and a number of managers are required to assist in the detailed planning of the event.

3rd Brentwood Cub Scouts have embraced The Essex Challenge 2010 since the beginning! They have eagerly awaited the challenges set each month by the County’s Youth Programme Team. 15 Cub Scouts spent a night in a cardboard box and raised money for charities supporting homeless people
