Richard Hammond and Sir David Attenborough have both been awarded Scout badges in The Scout Association's Birthday Badge list.

Teams of volunteers from Scouting in Essex are setting up camp at the Norfolk Showground for NORJAM 2010, at Harewood House for Guidings centenary Camp and day event Fusion next Wednesday as well as people heading to Great Tower for Red Rose 2010. Are you joining them or going to any other events?

Peak Assault is Hertfordshire Scouts' most challenging competition organised for members of the Scout Association aged 14 and over and is now in its 43rd year. The competitors must use their orienteering skills, physical ability and mental strength to navigate their way across unforgiving terrain 'clipping' as many checkpoints as they can within the allotted time.

3rd Brentwood Cub Scouts have embraced The Essex Challenge 2010 since the beginning! They have eagerly awaited the challenges set each month by the County’s Youth Programme Team. 15 Cub Scouts spent a night in a cardboard box and raised money for charities supporting homeless people

Pacific Jamboree is being held next summer from July 9 to 16 at Camp Byng, a 200 acre camp site on the Sunshine Coast of Canada.

1st Silver End Scouts Summer Adventure is a bit closer to home this year as they spend a week in Scotland from the 7 August as 51 members of Silver End will be spending a week at the Fordell-Firs, a Scottish National Scout Activity Centre.
