Over 400 County Cub Scouts invaded Skreens Park Activity Centre for their bi-annual fun day.
Whilst on site Cub Scouts were able to take part in Backwoodsman cooking, Archery, Canoeing and many more activities. Having done these activities their evidence will be recorded to go towards their Chief Scout Silver award amongst other badges.
Sam Morris, Assistant County Commissioner for Cub Scouts said “Everyone has enjoyed the day and were looking forward to Mega Camp (a weekend camp for Cub Scouts) next year and the fun they will have whilst camping”.
Whilst touring the site, Cub Scouts were seen to being sensible drinking lots of fluid and slapping on the sun cream. When asked what he most liked over the day Isaac, nine years old, from Colchester said “I like the way everybody wanted to help us whilst doing the activities because there was so much to do during the day.”
