Looking for something new and different to try with your Scouts or Explorers? Why not try Geocaching at one of the counties Country Parks? Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt using co-ordinates posted on the internet and GPS technology to find hidden "caches" containers around the world.
Using Heritage Lottery Funding, Essex Country Parks and Trailnet have set up a series of caches in the Essex Country Parks and they are offering taster sessions to Scout Groups.
These sessions will involve an introduction to Geocaching, instruction on how to use and programme a GPS and hands on experience of finding caches hidden around the parks.
They have 40 GPS units to use in these sessions so Scouts will be able to work in small groups with their own GPS units.
If your Scouts are interested in a challenge and trying something new then why not try Geocaching at one of the Country Parks.
Booking Essential £3.50 per Scout (min £50.00)
