Pedigree Scouts Give Greyhounds A Helping Hand

Scouts

1st Marks Tey Scout Troop spent a morning working with The Greyhound Trust, walking over 40 dogs at Clarks Farm in Little Totham, Maldon.

The Scouts of Marks Tey managed to only loose two dogs when they spent a few hours running in the fields with the dogs, recovering them when the dogs stopped for a poop break!
1st Marks Tey Scout Troop has a long relationship with The Greyhound Trust and last year assisted them in raising over £7,500 during their Dog Show and Fun Day. As a thank you to 1st Marks Tey Scouts, they were given their very own adopted greyhound called Alfie.

Gavin Horner, Scout Leader of 1st Marks Tey Group commented, "He is really lovely and is permanently homed for us at Clarks Farm."

The Greyhound Trust works hard to find loving homes for former racing Greyhounds. One of 73 branches around the country, Clarkes Farm has helped the Trust to find new homes for more than 45,000 dogs since being set up in 1975. Volunteer dog walkers and fundraisers are always needed – more info on the internet at: www.clarksfarmgreyhounds.ik.com
