This year’s Essex Explorer Scout Challenge is being held at King Edward VIII (Riffhams) Campsite in Danbury

The Event is an incident hike, completing challenges along the way at a series of bases.

The Challenge starts at 4pm on Saturday 20th March with teams leaving at intervals.

The route will be approximately 8km long and should be completed with all teams arriving back at site by midnight (depending of pace of hikers)

The Cost is £5 per team + £10 per person

Teams should be made up of 4-6 Explorer Scouts who will walk independently of the adult supervision

Teams should be reasonably competent map readers and comfortable navigating in the dark.

The theme this year is Superheroes. Your team of Superheroes are required to complete simple tasks in order that your powers may be built up so that you can complete the final challenge.

We would be greatful of any leaders willing to help run the bases.  If you are interested, please get in touch.

Documentation

Below are the documents that you will need. Your booking form needs to be returned with your money by 6th March 2009. The health and permission forms need to be collected by the leaders and handed in upon booking in.
