Scouts from 1st Silver End spent a week in North Wales trying new activities and learning about the area.  They stayed in an old School, which is now converted to accommodation, in the former slate quarry village of Deiniolen.

The Essex Country Show takes place at Barleylands Farm on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September. Billericay and Wickford District Scouts have been volunteering at the show for over 25 years and it is now time to register if you are able to help this year. It is a weekend when our volunteers enjoy the challenge and adventure of ensuring one of the country’s largest shows is a huge success.

After running a small solar panel and battery to provide electric lights at camp, the leaders of 4th Billericay decided to discuss the possibility of placing larger solar panels on the roof of their Scout meeting place.
