The growth and development of Scouting is a key task for everyone involved in Scouting.
If you have an idea for a project that helps recruit adults or young leaders, want to open a new Section, or have an idea to help us promote Scouting to the Community and encourage people to join, then let us know. Just fill in the simple form below and email it to development@essexscouts.org.uk so the Development Project Team can work out how best to support you.
Groups and Districts in Essex are already benefiting from the support of Penny Meadows, our Local Development Officer who is on hand to provide professional support to development projects around the County. Penny is currently working on a number of projects including:
- Looking at hospital outreach projects
- Opening news sections
- Opening school based sections
- Recruiting adults to Executive Committees
If you have an idea for a project in your Group or District the Development Project Team would be pleased to hear from you. A simple form exists to submit your ideas to the team and is available below. Even if the Development Project Team is unable to allocate any of Penny's time to your project, the form will be shared with other members of the County Team who may be able to offer some guidance or assistance.
You should always speak to your DC about potential projects which may be along similar lines to some of the above projects as he or she might already have some ideas, resources and contacts that can help you on your way.
