Co-educational success for Scout Troop
Back in December 2003, 1st Silver End Scouts took 'the plunge' and went co-ed - allowing girls to join the Troop. An article was put in a local paper advertising the fact and the first week girls could come along two joined. Move forward eight years and for the first time in the Troops 83 year history there are more girls than boys.
