Scout Aid For Essex (SAFE) is a team providing First Aid support for Group, District and County events.
SAFE has been set up to provide First Aid during Scouting events to allow leaders and organisers to get on with running the programme; hopefully the SAFE team will be considered as part of the event team.
Cover can be from 1 or 2 first aiders for an afternoon or a team to cover for a weekend event. To enquire about cover for your event please use our email.
The team is made up of Scout leaders from Essex with a wide variety of experience of Scouting and First Aid. It also encourages membership from the Explorer Scout section. Every member holds at least a basic first aid qualification and training is provided during the year to update and increase members’ skills in both first aid and fire fighting.
SAFE is a new and very small team at present and should you wish to join us, this is an opportunity to practice your first aid skills for real with support from other members in the team.
This invitation is open to anyone who already gives First Aid support in their own area – we are not looking to take over existing support but to add extra if required. And we do need more members as we already have more bookings this year than we anticipated!
SAFE is a Scout Active Support Unit, so you can take part in as many events as you wish or have time to!

If you are interested in joining, would like to book the team for an event, or for more information please contact Dot Parker (Chairperson).

County Marathon - And The Winners Are......
Even some Peak District rain during the last hours of the event couldn't dampen the spirit of the County Marathon teams, as the weekend ended with a heavy shower just before the closing time at Gradbach.
