24th World Scout Jamboree North America 2019

Be Part of It!

Essex Scouts will soon be starting the process of selecting the adult leaders and young people to represent the County at this incredible international experience to be held in West Virginia, USA in the summer of 2019.

Applications will soon be invited for youth participants and unit leaders for the County element of the UK Contingent. To enable prospective applicants to find out more about the jamboree we are running a series of WSJ24 Roadshows across the County. These evening events are open to young people, parents and leaders wishing to know more about the event. We will provide up to date information, explain the application and selection processes for young people and leaders, and the commitment involved. There will also be presentations by young people who attended the last World Scout Jamboree in Japan in 2015, and the opportunity to ask questions.

Adults considering applying for roles within the International Service Team (IST) for the event are also welcome to attend.

Please note that young people must be 14 but not yet 18 years old on the opening day of the Jamboree 22nd July 2019 to be eligible.
