4 – 13 Programme Team

Welcome to the 4 -13 Programme pages. We cover the following sections…

Squirrels – 4 – 6 years old, this is the youngest section in Scouting

Beavers – 6 – 8 year old

Cubs – 8 -10.5 year old

Scouts – 10.5 – 14 year old

All of the above sections are open to both Boys and Girls. Most groups meet every week and the Young People will get a chance to take part in various activities relevant to the age group. These can involve outdoor activities, playing games, learning new skills, and adventurous activities.

All the sections have a range of activity badges to complete and also many Challenge Awards to enable them to complete either their Acron, Chief Scout Bronze, Silver, or Gold Awards which is the top award that can be earned in each section.

The 4 – 13 Programme team helps to support all the Leaders in Essex to ensure their sections have a varied program of activities for the Young People to help them learn skills for life and also to achieve their top awards.
