Cubs 100 is an unforgettable celebration of the 2016 Centenary of Cub Scouts. Local and national events staged across the UK will showcase the fun, excitement and adventure of this special year.

In 1916, the section we know as Cub Scouts was formed (it was originally called Wolf Cubs).
Within twelve months, 30,000 young people had joined. Today, Cub Scouts has grown to over 150,000 members who enjoy fun and adventure, activities and nights away, making friends and trying new things. The official birthday is on 16 December but Cubs 100 will be celebrated throughout 2016.

There are lots of things that you can do to celebrate 100 years of Cub Scouts! Here in Essex we have our own special events planned which will be bursting with exciting adventures. Scroll down to find out more about those.

The fun doesn’t stop at these special events. There are lots of things you can do in weekly meetings to celebrate Cubs 100. HQ have produced some interesting programme ideas in their booklet “Our Journey”.

Cub Scouts here in Essex are lucky enough to have their own set of challenges to complete. Can your pack work together and tackle the ‘100’ themed challenges throughout the year? Those that do will be able to earn the limited edition Essex Cubs 100 badge!
