Network is the last and oldest section in Scouting’s Youth Programme. It’s open to all 18-25 year olds within the association, and provides endless opportunities for its members. From gorge walking, hiking, and trips abroad, to the usual antics seen at Essex Network’s MADUK, there’s always loads on offer, giving Network members a massive selection of things to do. Network is also the last section in which you can complete the Queen’s Scout Award.
Network is flexible, If you’re already a Leader, then you can still be an active member of Network. If your time only allows you the opportunity to take part in Network activities once a month, then that’s fine. Likewise, if you go away to university, through your local Network you can contact your nearest Network to Uni and continue your Networking whilst you’re there.
Network Active Support
The Network Active Support team is made up primarily of former members from Essex Network who, having reached the age of 25, are willing to use their skills and expertise in providing a support framework for Essex Network members. The unit also includes Network Leaders, the County team & Core team, and ESNAT (Essex Network Awards Team). People who are not currently involved in scouting are also welcome to join.
For queries, requesting assistance and details of joining please email the Active Support management team.

‘Last week we were out in the Brecon Beacons. This week we’re up in the Lakes helping some Scouts take their first trip on the water. Where else can you make a difference and have an excellent time yourself? Scouting – it’s recommended.’
