Pip, a Network member and Leader from the Group tells us more about their trip:
“The day started early – meeting at 7am to get the train from Basildon to Fenchurch Street station. We headed towards The Mall and spent the day chatting to Metropolitan Police officers (with guns!) and a Guide group that we shared our area with. It was a great way to see the celebrations and we felt 100% safe with policemen on every exit from the area. It meant groups could run around in the down times when the church service was on, allowing us to mix with other Scouts and Guides.
