26th Australian National Jamboree 2021/22
Are you looking for an awesome adventure to start 2022?
Essex Scouts are planning to take a contingent of up to 100 people (Adult Leaders, Scouts and Explorer Scouts) and will soon be starting the process of selecting adults to be Unit Leaders and young people to be participants to represent Essex and the UK at this incredible international experience. There are also places available for Adult International Service Team Members (IST)
The 26th Australian National Jamboree will take place at Elmore Field Site in Campaspe Shire, Northern Victoria from January 3rd to 13th 2022.
As in previous years when Essex has attended the Jamboree, we will leave the UK on 26th December for a three night hotel stopover in an Asian Country (to be confirmed) before flying to Cairns, Queensland to see in the New Year Aussie style (bbq and fireworks on the beach hosted by a local Scout Group.) Whilst in Cairns, we will be staying in a hotel and visiting the Great Barrier Reef and the Tropical Rainforest.
At the Jamboree, a group of 6 Scouts (11-14 years old) together with an Essex Leader will be hosted by an Australian Scout Troop and the over 15s will be working alongside Australian Venturers (Explorer Scouts) as Young Leaders. You must be a minimum of 11 years old on 31st August 2021 to be part of this experience.
After the Jamboree, the Unit will fly to Sydney to stay in accommodation at a local campsite and will sample all that Sydney has to offer including a not to be missed harbour powerboat ride. The Sydney Harbour Bridge Experience is also available (at additional cost) before returning back to the wintry weather of the UK after the amazing adventure of a lifetime!
