Joshua, 8 from 1st Great Notley in Braintree has achieved his Bronze Chief Scout Award at his Beaver Colony meets by making things and being creative.

Joshua joined Beavers in September 2007 and in 2 years did a variety of activities to achieve his award.

Joshua went on a hike and put up a tent, visited a fire station and police station, did a treasure hunt and a sponsored walk for Red Nose Day, ate Fair Trade Food, toured a Church, had a keep fit session and played cricket, made up and performed in a play, carried out experiments, made an electric torch and learnt about India and Italy

He said, “It was hard getting all the badges and the things I did. The fiddly parts of the creative challenge when we made a catapult”

Joshua is now enjoying the fun at Cub Scouts since joining in December 2009.
