30 Scouts, Explorers and Leaders have returned from a week long expedition to Cornwall discovering the fun and challenge of walking around the footpaths of Lands End.

On Scoutings birthday, 1st August, the Scouts, Explorers and Leaders of 4th Epping set off from Epping on a challenge to reach Land’s End by the 8th August.

Months of training and preparation have been undertaken by the youngsters including preparing food, equipment and navigation skills and fitness challenges to ensure that the group were well prepared to complete their journey in good time.

The journey began with a train and tube journey via a Group Day Travel ticket across London to Paddngton station for the onward 5 hour journey to St. Ives in Cornwall.

Their first day of hiking took them down from St. Ives to Zennor with fantastic views of the coast and stayed the first night at the Backpacker
