Thameside Orion Cub Scouts travelled back during their annual pack holiday at Broadstone Warren to take part in a range of activities in Medieval Times.

As well as taking part in several site activities including pot holing, archery, coconut tree, grass sledging, rifle shooting and the low ropes they also played medieval games such as chase the pig, capture the flag and medieval football as well as spoofing, nurding, marbels and pea shooting. Each evening ended with a jousting competition and the highlight of the week was a half hour horse riding experience.

The Cubs earned 4 badges over the week including their DIY badges making bird boxes and feeders and gained their Scientist Badge for completing Merlins challenges.

All the Cubs were knighted and received their swords at a final banquet where they dressed in the costumes they had made themselves and then entertained everyone with their medieval dancing, juggling, conjuring and acrobatics.
