A new and exciting opportunity to lead and support

Andy Cunningham, our current Assistant County Commissioner (Scouts), has recently taken on the responsibility of managing Essex’s participation in the World Scout Jamboree taking place in Japan in 2015. Due to the increasing demands of supporting this process, Andy will be stepping down from his role supporting the Scout section at the end of August. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Andy for his contribution in supporting Districts and developing the Scout section over the last year.

We are now looking for someone to take on the role to continue the work that is currently underway and develop the support provision further.

This role will be tasked with providing direct support to Districts to progress development priorities for the section by chairing and attending support meetings, visiting District events and meetings for volunteers as well as Troop activities and events. This role plays a key part in reviewing how the Balanced Programme is being operated within Districts and supporting volunteers to ensure its effective delivery and development.
