Over 80 Cubs Scouts spent the day having fun and learning new skills at the annual sausage sizzle.
The afternoon started with a wide game involving all of groups from across the District who then went off into their cooking teams.
Each team was given a card which held a variety of different backwoods cooking recipes which the teams had to cook this included a hotdog,cheese dreams,chocolate cake in an orange,smores.
The Cubs learnt how to light the fires they were cook on and prepare, cook and eat the variety of exciting recipes. The day empowered the young people to work in teams and also taught them skills that they will be able to utilise throughout their time in Scouting and in their lives.
The fun filled day finished with a campfire, where all the Cubs came together with friends old and new to sing traditional and modern campfire songs; with lots of actions included!
SOme of the Cub Packs camped over making this a truly fantastic weekend to remember.
