As work progresses to develop the activity centre, clearing and landscaping will increase car park space and views down onto the site and use of the wet weather barn is set over to indoor activities.

The old crew building is being demolished to become landscaped between the car park and Tinley Building giving Tinley a much nicer outlook.Over the coming weeks the old prota cabins and containers are being cleared and reduced and the staff and maintenance area will be reduced in size and contained behind a fence against the tree line of the existing containers.

A new staff accommodation block is planned for this year which will house apprentices and long term volunteers.

Further down the site the wet weather barn is being cleared and plans are being developed to make this the centre of all activities where the inside will be zoned off to provide a cork gun range, mini crossbow range, archery, bouldering wall, fencing, rifle range as well as space for getting people out of the rain.

The lakeside to the 3 acre lake will be developed to provide a tidy store for our canoeing and rafting kit.

The main focus at present is to remove unused items and tidy the site.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this work, but hope that later in the year the benefits will be clear and we will have the beginnings of a centre of excellence for the county.
