26 Cubs and Beavers from Dunmow have returned to Lime Tree Hill to support a bulb planting for the community of Dunmow and planted 1,200 to bloom next spring.

The group has been planting bulbs in public places for the town council for about 30 years, and have returned to Lime Tree Hill for the second, if not third, time.

The Cubs and Beavers, with their parents did the bulb planting on a Saturday morning which they hope will give a carpet of yellow in the spring.

The Town mayor, Cllr Gwynn Davies, attended the planting and was pleased with the results saying “The Dunmow Scout Group carries out this excellent public-spirited work, and makes Great Dunmow a nicer place in the spring with the daffodils in bloom.”
