The weather may have been dull, but that’s not stopping Scouting in Essex from getting out and about enjoying the longer days and taking the opportunity to try new and exciting activities.

While most Groups, Units and Networks stop their weekly meetings, many Scouts, Explorers and Network members have been busy out and about at international camps, on international expeditions and making the most of the summer.

County Commissioner Jan Dear herself said, “I’ve been out to visit a couple of camps, I’ve painted the skirting in a scout hall, help someone put up a OHP screen, and I still have the opportunity to visit the 820 project in Epping Forest.”
