Scout Active Support is for anyone over the age of 18 years. It is a way for adults to volunteer time to Scouting in a flexible way that suits them. Essex is now served by a range of Active Support Units who provide valuable back up, advice and practical support at all levels of Scouting around the County.
Active Support in Essex
There are a number of County Scout Active Support units providing a whole range valuable skills and ideas. These include the Activities teams, Communications team and Site services team.

The MASH (Maintenance and Site Hygiene) team are a group of dedicated Active Support members who provide valuable services to many events around Essex. This dedicated team provide essential support to a number of events throughout the year, many of which wouldn’t be the fantastic success that they are. Contact them here.

Active Support in your area
In addition many Districts also host Active Support units that provide their services to local Scouting be that helping run events, assist with skills training, campsite maintenance or any number of other ways.
