Administration Team

Everything we do within scouting involves administration tasks, and it is the role of the County administration team to support all other County teams with this provision.

This could include

  • General administration (taking minutes, meeting notes, or facilitating a meeting) for the County Trustee Board, or the County Leadership Team
  • Arranging , facilitating and managing the County Annual General Meeting including invitations to local dignitaries.
  • Production of the County Annual Report
  • Running or creating reports for Team leaders, on membership, training or disclosures
  • Completing census details for County Sections or providing support where needed.
  • Update and manage the Policies for the staff and volunteers in the County
  • Coordinating the purchase of clothing, name badges or other Team Essex consumables.

To be part of the administration team you need to be able to communicate with all levels of volunteer, and be focussed, organised and structured in your approaches. We always welcome new members, so if you are able to spend a few hours a month supporting the others with your administration skills please reach out to us.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
