Incident Management Team

The Incident Management Team provides support to the County and acts as the primary point of contact for all Essex Scout issues relating to:

  • Data Protection and General Data Protection Regulations Breaches
  • Complaints, disputes and mediation
  • Member Welfare and Wellbeing
  • Monitor / analyse the County’s Health & Safety Reports and Near Miss Incidents, in order to identify common causes (Lessons Learned) for resolution,

The Team also supports District Lead Volunteers with:

  • Provide support and advice on complaints and disputes at District level
  • Provide a mediation service, as and when required, including actively mediating with specific cases and providing mediation training
  • Liaise with TSA’s Safeguarding Team, to facilitate resolution of issues with live cases
  • Provide guidance on Health and Safety Legislation, for Districts and Scout Groups
  • Offer practical guidance / assistance on Risk Assessments,
