Mountain Team

The Mountain Team run a variety of events throughout the year as well as supporting Groups, Districts and Units with their adventurous activities when specialist skills are needed.

The Team supports:

• Hill Walking
• Climbing and Abseiling
• Caving
• Mountain Biking

Events each year include:

• Winter Weekend (Explorers, Network and adults). Walking and climbing in the Lake District
• Easter in Snowdonia (Explorers, Network and adults). Walking and climbing in the Lake District
• Summer Weekend. Climbing and walking in the Peak District
• Summer Expedition. The next expedition will be to the Dolomites in Italy in 2025
• Climbing permit assessment days in conjunction with the permits team
• Climbing and walking permit assessment weekends in North Wales and the Peak District in conjunction with the permits team
